Job Responsibilities

Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risk across corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and other practice areas.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, pleadings, and other legal documents with attention to detail and business objectives.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, including preparing evidence and legal arguments.
Conduct legal research using traditional databases and AI-powered tools to analyze statutes, case law, regulations, and guidance.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance, finance, HR, and product teams to support transactions and operational decisions.
Manage matters, deadlines, and case strategy, including coordinating with external counsel and internal clients as needed.
Monitor legal, regulatory, and industry developments to update playbooks, templates, and internal policies.

Minimum Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
Active license to practice law and good standing with at least one jurisdiction or bar association.
1–3 years of post-qualification experience for junior and associate-level roles; more for mid-level and senior positions.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, including familiarity with major legal research databases.
Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, pleadings, or other core documents relevant to the target practice area.
Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
High ethical standards, professional judgment, and adherence to confidentiality and conflict-of-interest rules.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a focused practice area such as corporate/M&A, commercial litigation, data privacy, employment, or intellectual property.
Comfort with technology, including e-discovery platforms, contract lifecycle management tools, and AI-enabled research or drafting software.
Background working with specific industries such as SaaS, fintech, healthcare, life sciences, or financial services.
Prior in-house, government, or hybrid law firm/in-house experience demonstrating business-oriented legal advice.
Cross-border or multi-jurisdictional experience handling international contracts, regulatory issues, or global investigations.
