Job Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in education law, civil rights, labor and employment, or related regulatory practice (more for senior roles).
  • Solid knowledge of key education statutes and regulations, including FERPA, Title IX, IDEA, ADA, and relevant state education codes.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience drafting policies, position statements, and briefing materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, students, and public officials, often in high-sensitivity matters.
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues involving equity, student rights, and access to education.
